Arrowhead Provincial Park
Arrowhead ParkYear Round Recreation in Muskoka
Find year round fun at Arrowhead Provincial Park with its outstanding opportunities to experience and explore Muskoka's natural environment. Investigate more than 27 kilometres of trails, fish in Arrowhead's two lakes, canoe the meandering Big East River and enjoy a picnic by Stubbs Falls. In winter, pack your snowshoes, toboggan, skates or cross-country skis and make the most of the season's potential.

Outdoor Recreation
Arrowhead Park's diverse natural environment, with two lakes, a meandering river and lush forest, provide a wide choice for outdoor recreation.
Set out in the early morning for a peaceful canoe ride on the Big East River. You can travel for several hours without portaging or encountering white water. A steady current, no rocks, beautiful scenery around every turn and fine sandy beaches are just some of the attractions on this excellent canoe route. Early morning and dusk are the best times to catch sight of the park's many wild creatures along the way.
Head towards Arrowhead Lake with tackle and rod in hand. Fish for speckled trout and bass here, or launch your canoe or rowboat at Mayflower Lake for another chance at trout. Motorboats are not allowed on either lake, but sailboats and canoes are ideal craft for fishing or exploring Arrowhead Provincial Park's waters. Remember: wherever you fish, never take more than your daily limit.

Winter Activities
Cross-country ski at Arrowhead Park in winter over several kilometres of groomed trails. Dust off your toboggan for a thrilling ride on the hill, sharpen your skates and show off your technique at the outdoor rink or take a winter walk past Stubbs Falls - famous for its beauty in wintertime. Should you leave your skis at home, rent a pair at the concession in the park. Try the lamp-lit trail in the evening.
